New traffic lights in Sumy

 

Sumy traffic light park received this year serious renewments. Instead of old lamp traffic lights the city authorities made the decision to install new LED traffic lights of the last generation SD T1.3-TOV-AT.

The main difference of these traffic lights from the usual is that the board of time counting for red and green signals is integrated into section of a yellow signal. During their work in average section, in the same color, time counting in seconds before the end of their action is displayed. This function allows drivers confidently to define possibility of safe intersection crossing, in due time prepare for a start or switch off the engine in case of long expectation. Undoubtedly new traffic lights will promote increase of traffic safety, fuel economy and improvement of an ecological situation in the city. It would be good if also chiefs of other cities would paid more attention to these questions, following an example of their Sumy colleagues.
